Here’s how it went down.
In July of 2020, COVID was at an all time high and Ontarians were on a lockdown.
Business took an immensely deep dive because of all the uncertainty and restrictions.
Fortunately at the same time, a culturally relevant local entertainment source was scouting for new restaurants to feature in its content.
It was by chance that they saw both our Tiktok and Instagram posts in the wild (because I was posting regularly on both platforms at the time).
A week later, they reached out.
They came by, shot a video, and posted it a week later.
The next day, the business came flowing in.
We went from barely breaking even to actually making some dollars.
To us, the business results resembled the difference between a pond and an ocean.
So you can dismiss social media all you want.
But if you have a business and need to be your own marketer, making content on social media will help a lot.
