Design and marketing are 2 of my favourite subjects.
I don’t read a lot about design, but I read a lot about marketing.
In fact, my love for marketing grows as I read more about it.
Here are the 3 most memorable books I read about marketing. I’d recommend these if you’re a designer looking to grow your business sense.
- The 1-Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib. One of the first books I ever read on the topic and has been instrumental in helping me understand why marketing is so important to any business
- Freakonomics by Stephen J. Dubner and Steven D. Levitt. Not really a book about marketing, but I would consider the case studies discussed in the book a fun “starter kit” to human psychology and how the world intertwines
- Last one (I told myself I would limit the list to 3, but there are so many good ones out there). Story Driven by Bernadette Jiwa. She asks the right questions and breaks down the steps you need to tell your story how it needs to be told. Short but effective.
Do you have a great book recommendation on marketing to share? Go ahead, start the thread. Always looking to expand my list and learn more.
