BLUNTNESS. Audacity. Sternness. Tenacity. The courage to know what you’re worth. The ability to not get caught up in what other people think. Confidently discussing finances and money. Being able to say no. Believing in oneself. Loving your work.
I’m not sure if there’s a singular word to describe this thing I see that holds many of my creatives friends back, but this list of words and phrases sums it up.
This past year I realized in myself that I was missing this mumble of qualities above. Now I’m making it my priority to be kinder to myself, and to learn how to be my strongest advocate.
