Why You Feel Like A Failure is Because Of Your Environment

I used to take piano lessons. I even made it to level 10 (eventually), but it was clear to both my teacher and myself that I wasn’t very good at it.

Nonetheless, my mom persisted that we keep going.

It was painful, because I rarely ever wanted to practice the piano.

I was stuck in an environment where my lack of interest and skill made me feel like a failure.

Fortunately for me, I used the excuse of starting high school to get out of my piano lessons once and for all.

Feeling like a failure is situational. If we suck at what we do, is it because of the environment we consistently put ourselves in? And if so, is it worth considering to leave?
