Make Crunch Time Work For You

How often is it that you get 80% of your work done in 20% of the total time that is given to you?

That is the magic of deadlines.

It’s easy to dismiss a deadline when you’re working with yourself, for yourself, alone.  Much harder to ignore deadlines when you’ve got a group of people counting on you to finish on time.

People looking for shortcuts will wonder if it’s possible to speed up this process. That is, to put more deadlines closer together so that we can get more and more work done in less and less time.

You can also say that there’s an appropriate time required to get so and so done. It’s simply not possible to speed up the process just because you want to.

Nonetheless, being put on a deadline is helpful. Being put on a deadline where others have to see your work gets the work finished.

That’s why we’re hosting our 7th run of the Portfolio Campfire workshop next week. Portfolios are never-ending projects—until we sit down and do them.

If you’re still thinking about how to update your portfolio website, this is your chance. Register for your spot in our 21-day portfolio building workshop, and make your deadline work with you.

P.S. If you know anybody working on their portfolio, do them a favour and please let them know they don’t have to work on their projects alone.

Hoping to see you there.
