Getting out of the artist’s slump

The slump is a place where ideas come with no place to go.

It’s the artist’s job to stay out of the slump for as long as possible.

Because as soon as we enter the slump, it’s easy, even tempting, to stay. The only way out of the slump is to keep going. One idea at a time.
