If you want to build a habit, you’ll need a few things
- Will
- Effort
- Time
The first one is the reason why you’ll be building the habit in the first place. If you’re going to intentionally commit, you’ve got to have a compelling reason for yourself. If you run into a tough day, this is what you’ll run back to.
Second is effort. A habit cannot turn into a habit without putting in the action. This is where some might stumble. The key to staying on track with effort is not to do everything all at once, but do things with pace.
Finally, time. It’s hard to break in a desired habit when you haven’t given it the time to settle. Come back with your effort again and again over time and you’ll find that your habit will be put in place.
