A year after graduation, I feel much closer to restaurant workers who are notorious for “Asian style customer service” than a designer, which is what I studied 4 years for.
I think some people would read this and feel sorry or pity, but I think it should be the opposite of that.
I don’t feel any regret or sadness working with my parents at a tiny food court in Scarborough.
In fact, I take a lot of pride in knowing that I’m able to shine light on what we do as a family on social media.
My life doesn’t revolve around what I studied in a university, and I’m grateful for that.
