Giving free stuff for anybody walking down the street is problematic because people aren’t excited that it’s from you, they’re excited because it’s free (or worse, they’re turned off by the cheap labour).
Instead, we should treat free stuff as a premium. It’s a reward for coming back, for staying, a gift for becoming a part of the family.
Free stuff should be given because it’s something that our audience wants, not because it’s free, but because they’re invested.

Unless a good and/or service is provided free of charge on a voluntary basis, nobody has any right to free stuff on-demand.
